For nearly 40 years, Friends of Farmworkers (FOF) has been supporting low-wage workers as they pursue economic and social justice. We have provided direct legal aid to thousands of individuals throughout Pennsylvania, and have affected the living and working conditions of an even greater number through our advocacy and impact litigation. FOF’s direct legal aid is bolstered by robust community engagement and education programming, ensuring greater access to justice for all workers, especially in rural areas. We also have several special initiatives, including services for victims of labor trafficking, the Notario Fraud Project, Voces de Trabajadores (Voices of Women at Work) and a Medical-Legal Partnership with Puentes de Salud.

FOF and PICC have a long history of collaborative work. FOF staff members have been involved in PICC since PICC was founded, serving 20 collective years as PICC board members over the years. Most recently, FOF has been active with PA is Ready!, helping to create the collaborative service model, train community members, and serve on the Grantmaking Committee. FOF would like to especially acknowledge staff attorney Vanessa Stine and paralegal Diana Luna for their leadership and service on the PA is Ready! Grantmaking Committee.
