VietLead was founded by Vietnamese and allied community members who had a vision for sustainability, self-determination, and “taking on” the work of building what we want. Our vision is to build an organization that focuses on sustainability, and self-determination for the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian communities in the region.

Our programs include community defense to ensure that our community members know their rights when it comes to immigration and civil issues, Our Roots Youth Program is an after school program which emphasizes youth leadership for low-income youth, civic engagement to build power amongst AAPI communities through voter registration and GOTV, and our community programs: Health and Healing program that focuses on health education and related aspects, Resilient Roots Farm that is an intergenerational community garden, and Coop experiment building our intergenerational community leaders together focused on self-governance and self-determination.
