Shut Down Berks Campaign Webinar

Pennsylvania is currently home to the Berks County Family Detention Center (BCRC), one of three detention centers for immigrant families, where children as young as two-weeks-old have been incarcerated, and families have been held for more than a year at a time.

In this webinar, a member of the Shut Down Berks Campaign will:
— Give an overview of the history of the campaign to close the Berks County Family Detention Center
— Review the legal powers of the Governor and PA Dept. of Human Services to issue an Emergency Removal Order (ERO)
— Present how individuals can take action in their community to support the campaign
